Meet Jasmine Adams - McNeal, M.S., SLP-Intern

I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist intern with more than 20 years of experience in education and special populations, dedicated to helping children and families across Sugar Land, TX and the greater Houston area find their voices and thrive.

Throughout my career, I have supported children and families across school-based, home-health, and early intervention settings. This breadth of experience has given me a deep understanding of how communication develops in different environments—and how to make therapy meaningful in each one.

My clinical approach is family-centered, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe that the most effective speech therapy happens when it is connected to a child’s real life—when it helps them ask for what they need at the dinner table, connect with a friend on the playground, or participate confidently in their classroom. That is why I place a strong emphasis on functional communication and collaboration with the caregivers, educators, and teams who are part of each child’s world.

I am especially passionate about serving children on the autism spectrum, implementing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) strategies, and coaching parents and caregivers to become their child’s most powerful communication partner. I am currently completing my Clinical Fellowship (CF) towards CCC-SLP certification.

Our Clinical Philosophy

At GABSOLutely Speaking, our work is guided by a set of core principles that shape every interaction, evaluation, and treatment plan:

Family-Centered Care

Parents and caregivers are essential partners in the therapy process. We provide coaching, education, and strategies so that communication growth continues long after each session ends.

Culturally Responsive Practice

We honor the unique cultural and linguistic backgrounds of every family we serve. Therapy is never one-size-fits-all.

Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach

We respect and celebrate each child’s unique communication style. Our goal is to expand access to communication, not to enforce a single “normal.”

Evidence-Based Methods

Every treatment decision is informed by current research, clinical expertise, and the individual needs and preferences of the child and family.

Collaborative Teamwork

We work closely with educators, pediatricians, occupational therapists, behavior analysts, and other professionals to create cohesive, well-rounded support for each child.
